The fraud called your mind

I have been a student of the human mind in the last 5years of my life and I am amazed at the power the human mind wield. It is so powerful that it can create whatever happens in there but is also…

Life lesson from a true story that makes Chuckie a comedy.

A Story of A Guy Who Took So Many Words To Get His Point Across.

Warning: For 18+ Only.

Yesterday, my colleagues and I talked about the experience of our stay in the hotel.

And one of my colleagues shared the most horrifying story we’ve ever heard.

Even now at the mere thought of it makes my mind terrified of stepping at the front door of the hotel.

Here’s what she shared:

One of my colleagues was sharing about how the employees there kept seeing strange people in the lobby of the hotel.

They told her that...

One cold night, when they roaming around the lobby, they didn't expect to see the guy...

The guy was unfamiliar to them.

The guy never checked in the hotel. (As far as they remember)

What they saw was...

A guy, who wore a white t-shirt (bloody mess, extra-large t-shirt enough to cover all his upper legs) with loose black pants on (with a little blood everywhere), walking around the lobby...

...without his head.

Headless man walking in the lobby.

And here's the scariest part (at least for me)

According to them...

He’s finding his head in every room at the hotel...

Or, probably, my assumption, that head isn't him.

And, you know, probably, that head was one of his victims who he'd beheaded. Or, perhaps, that head is also finding his original body in every room just like the headless man is doing.

And... and... I just leave it at that.

Gee, didn't notice all of my hair is raising like a hedgehog.

Mind you, it's actually scary to the fullest extent that...

My colleagues here don't want to sleep in the room anymore.

And not only that...

Anyway. Although, until now, we have not felt (yet) the happy ending in this story... the very best that we're doing so far is just being used to it and face the fear of the walking headless man.

And that's what I want to emphasize here in this letter.

It took me so many words just to get my point across...

If you're nervous, and you're afraid about doing something. (Because, maybe, that's out of your comfort zone)

The best thing you must do is...

The reason why that makes us so nervous and doesn't want to do it is... because you're afraid of the possibility that you may screw up, and embarrass.

(In our case, maybe we're just afraid seeing that unusual man)

And that's fine.

The best lesson in life is experience, right? It might be true tho.

But who would like to be screwed up anyway, right?

So, if anyone (including me) doesn't want to be screwed up...

How do we behead and destroy that nervousness and fear?

Well, to answer that, here's what my friend, Joe, a Speaker and Financial Advisor told me... (paraphrased)

"You cannot conquer your nervous, but it will be lessened if you're prepared for it"

And, another advice I've learned from a friend of mine, a Copywriter, and a part time mermaid, Aly... (paraphrased)

"Consistency and persistency are what make you better at your craft and be faster at it"

It might be sounding like a guru-ish thing.

But it's true.

And, now the next thing you need to do is...

Breath. Inhale, Exhale. And start doing and facing it.

If you still afraid of facing it...

Just think of it as sports too...

In a basketball game, or volleyball, or anything for example...

But the worse decision you'll do—that you'll never experience in basketball is...

Not playing it.

You'll not feel the intensity.

You'll not be going to feel failure or loss.

And, the even worst reason is...

You don't give yourself any chance to WIN.

That's $##& up as high as Everest.

Just like what we're doing, instead of leaving the hotel, we're just welcoming that horrifying story.

And maybe, just maybe, if ever he'd like us to see him, he'd be a double dead by now. (But knock on wood)

We're not afraid of him, anymore...

I'm just kidding.

Peace.
