To produce

The first point and by far the most difficult one in a production process is established through determinations imposed by a continuum of the abilities to produce and to think the means of operation that one has with the aim to produce.

I wrote this sentence on April 1, 2016. It was written in Portuguese at first:

O primeiro ponto, e de longe o mais difícil, em um processo de produção, se estabelece nas determinações impostas por um contínuo das capacidades de produzir e de pensar os modos de operação do que se tem por finalidade a produzir.

The question I was trying to answer corresponds more to quality than to quantity. The continuum of the abilities is the key to unfold a quality development in a production system. Without this vision of an inseparable connection between make and think, that is, product and theory, the result will always be precarious.

We can keep thinking about this problem as long as it’s not been solved yet.
