Killing floor 2

Killing Floor 2 is the successor to it predecessor Killing Floor. It is a six player cooperative wave based zombie horror game. It is based somewhere in the UK, and the currency is known as Dosh.

At the end of each round, you are awarded with Dosh depending on the amount of enemies that you kill during the previous round. With this money, you are able to buy stuff that will help you out in the next round. These things include armor, grenades, weapons, and ammunition. Armor helps significantly with keeping your health up against the zombies, which are known as Zeds. Weapons, and ammo along with grenades are some what self explanatory.

Within this game, there are multiple different class types. These include the Commando, Gunslinger, Swat, and about six or seven more. I do not remember the exact amount. They all have their own starting weapons, and perks within the select skill tree. For example, the commando is a specialist with fully automatic rifles. This means that they will do significantly better with a rifle, than with a hand gun, however, you as the player can mix and match as you see fit.

This game is well known for there aesthetic pleasantries. This includes character customization, and weapon skins. This has no real benefits to the gameplay whatsoever, however, it makes your character look like a total badass. There are these objectives known as weekly’s, which are pretty self explanatory. You do a relatively difficult mission once a week, and you can get cool prize, often consisting in a lot of Dosh, and a cool cosmetic.

Before I leave this article, one last thing that I would like to mention about this game is the fact that they do some of the best seasonal work there is in the gaming industry (In my personal opinion). Right now, Halloween is just around the corner, and all of the characters are decorated accordingly, and it really sets the mood for life in general. And Christmas is even better, at least it was last year. Regardless of whether or not you are religious, this game will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, so long as you live in a winter wonderland state. They will have things like Christmas PJ’s that you can wear, and even though you are killing zombies, it just makes life a little bit better.

Sorry about that long personal feeling paragraph, but that is how I feel about this game around the holidays. Anyway, that about sums up the game in its entirety. I highly recommend checking it out, and picking it up if you can spare the Dosh. It is on sale on Steam right now for ten Dosh. The date is October 13th.
