The Majister Of All Challenges Has Come To An End

The challenges of the challenge.

As May drew to a close, so did the 30-day challenge I had set myself.

As a refresher, here is David Majisters original 30-day challenge.

And here is my pledge post from what feels like eons ago.

The BIG goal: Submit 30 articles in 30 days to 30 different publications.

The results: 14 submitted and 14 published articles.

Of these 14 published articles, 10 were chosen for further distribution. This is a curation rate of 71%.

Although I didn’t reach the 30 articles in 30 days goal, I am pretty happy with that distribution rate. Perhaps if I had tried to write more articles my quality would have slipped and I may not have had as many chosen for further distribution.

In my pledge post, I set 3 other goals. I wanted to double my followers, build a network and make it my highest earning month.

Goal: Double my amount of followers. Currently sitting at 129 followers. So by the end of May, I would love to see this amount doubled to 258.

The grand reveal! I am currently sitting at 213 followers.

I may not have achieved a grand total of 258 followers on Medium, but I feel like this is a win anyway. I also found that my Twitter following grew and were more engaged there because of this challenge.

Goal: Build a network and form more connections. I love this community and have already made some amazing friends and connections. I want to continue to build relationships and be more active within this Medium community.

As stated earlier, I may not have grown a huge following or engagement on Medium, but I did on Twitter. Moving forward I have set some more plans and goals around being more active on Medium.

Goal: Make May my highest earning month ever! I was a little disappointed with my March challenge results, so I am hoping another challenge will help boost my income! Even though March was my highest earning month, it still…
